SPECIAL NOTES: "You Just May Be the One" by the Monkees appears
as #78 this week. In fact, this record was never released as a
single, but was released instead as a promotional EP. The song
appeared later in the year on the "Headquarters" album.

Although "A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You" had fallen off the
survey within the last two weeks, it was played, now as an
"oldie." WABC usually had a six month window between the time a
song falls off the playlist until it would resurface as an oldie,
but a handful of recent drops are beginning to be placed in an
oldies rotation. This new category of oldies would become known
as "New Gold" by early 1968.

The album cuts are from the Beatles LP, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely
Hearts Club Band."

This survey actually made its debut on Wednesday, 31 May 1967, a
day later than usual. "The Tracks of My Tears" by Johnny Rivers
was not shown on the printed survey, probably because the survey
information was sent to the printer before a Pick Hit was chosen.
