General consensus is that those two positions would be "I Love
Rock 'n Roll" by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts (Boardwalk) and "We
Got the Beat" by the Go-Go's (I.R.S.). These songs were never
played on WABC, which had softened its format to a more Adult
Contemporary sound by early 1982.
