Older skewing yes, geriatric no.
If the people who listened to 50's music growning up are now in their 60's what about the people who grew up in the 40's and earlier. Do the math and this also assumes that the only people attracted to a particular music come from the generation when that music was current. If that were true the Classical audience would be 200 plus. very attractive for advertisers. Maybe that's why there are so few commercial clasical stations.
