The copyright & Royalty organizations and their members are recieving compensation from many of the internet activities that use their music and other works. Music Download purchases are now fully legal and are being marketed by at least a dozen companies on the internet including Wal-Mart. The purchaser pays for the music they download and the seller pays a pre-arranged amount to the provider of the music files.
Many Internet Broadcasters are paying copyright payment through " clearing House " type sites like Live 365. Anyone can set up their own Internet Broadcasting on a site like Live 365 who collects payment from the broadcaster on a pre-arranged flat rate basis and they in turn pay the copyright societies.
Commercial Broadcasters are once again streaming on the internet and paying for the music they broadcast.
