This sounds fantastic Bob, could this possibly be an audition of future things to come from WLNG ?

I found out about WLNG thru these boards and I listen to it on their internet stream as the signal is marginal where I am on the NY side of Danbury CT. This has to be one of the best if not the best station I have found since CBS-FM dropped the oldies format.

WLNG is the kind of station I and many others remember growing up with as it is a " One Stop " full service station ( no channel hopping necessary as you get it all at one spot on the dial ). Their program playlist resembles my own record accumilation of over 5 decades and it is a pleasure to hear those songs on the air and talked up by Personalities. To me this " IS " what radio is all about, at least to me and obviously many others as their recent spike in ratings demonstrates.

Although I recently purchased and subscribed to Sirius Radio, I continue to listen to WLNG on a budget computer I have dedicated to the storage & playing of many of my favorite 45's and also use it as an " INternet Tuner " connected to my main stereo system.

The Hollander boys sure could learn something from Paul Sidney about how to run a popular & profitable radio station and it also goes to prove there still exists a huge audience for the " Oldies " including the 50's when it is presented and programmed properly. Even if you are only going to be their as a guest DJ ( at least this time ) this would be a perfect place for you if they consider finding one for you.

I have had your book Behind The Hits for many years and still enjoy reading it and using it for reference. I'll be listening for you on WLNG.

WLNG " Just Dial and Smile "

and they are not afraid to play 50's ROck & Roll
