If the car radio has a decent AM, John, WMTR 1250 could be a choice. There's nothing really co-channel as far as splash goes in your itinerary until you get well into WFAS 1230 White Plains' main contour.
Most of Bergen County is outside of WMTR's really-big main contour, but I've gotten them on an average car radio on the Belt Parkway into Kennedy Airport turf.
'Tall depends on your static threshold; thing is, your Bergen County cruises are well within WMTR's range.
