Obviously *NOT* WABC, but AM may end up being the niche market for oldies in the future. We have a few small oldies stations around here in north Jersey and while they are somewhat popular, they are jukebox-like and not very much fun to listen to.
I could see a scenario where someone comes along in NY or a nearby market and programs an AM similar to what WNBC was doing back in the 80s fairly successfully with "The Time Machine" (only, without that annoying "Time Machine" weight around it's neck this time, OK?) - reverb, classic oldies and personality-driven jox that interacted with the listeners would certainly catch on the AM band...at least until IBOC screwed everything up AGAIN... ;)
