Station management should also note that Jay Leno was only successful on the Tonight Show when he started to make it his show and not continue what Carson did before him. Fitzgerald's show should be put together the same way. He demonstrated strength in interacting with a team during the Dolenz show, so bring in Steve Somers of FAN with sports and Audrey Puente of channel 2 with the weather. The feminine touch could work here, and it cross-promotes the TV side. Even if Mr. G. would return from NEW, would seem too much like Mike doing Harry's show and not his own. Why not Randy Davis/Dan Taylor and Bill Brown filling that timeslot. And move mid-day mornings to 9AM.

Even if Dan Ingram gets a reconciliation with the suits at Viacom/CBS, would he WANT to do it fulltime?

What about Don K. Reed who has been at the station for over 33 years. He desrves the 11P-2A shift.
Your weekend line-up sounds great. And with Ed Baer on with Dan Daniel would be a boost.
