And that is why younger people don't have the same "sentimental" memories of the songs folks your age have. Even though oldies stations do have young(er) listeners, I would think that they only know the music from either movie soundtracks, older siblings, or just by listening now for the first time. And that's why I find it odd that people under the age of 40 would be so negatively affected by the format change of CBS-FM. Just "knowing" the music is a lot different than having actual "memories attached to each and every record".
