In early 1978, "Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band/With a Little Help from My Friends" was released as a single.
Now that I think of it, many of the Beatles hits from 1964 on all those miscellaneous labels (swan, tollie, mgm, VJ, etc.) were old songs which were newly released as singles or newly promoted old singles once Beatlemania took hold.
