The Beatles had a policy of usually not releasing singles from albums because they didn't want fans to have to pay twice for the same thing.
That's why there are 33 tracks on Past Masters #1 and #2 that never appeared on a regular album release.
Between Sgt. Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour (which was only a 2-EP set in the UK, not an LP like it was in the U.S.) there were only two singles released:
All You Need Is Love / Baby You're A Rich Man on 7/7/67 in the UK and on 7/24/67 in the US and
Hello Goodbye / I Am the Walrus on 11/14/67 in the UK and 11/27/67 in the U.S.
I Am The Walrus did appear on the Tour EP and both Walrus and Hello, Goodbye appeared on the US LP of Magical Mystery Tour.
The next single after that was Lady Madonna / The Inner Light released in the UK on March 15 and in the US on March 18, 1968.
Even putting things like iTunes aside, if the Beatles were marketed today (or anytime in the last 20 years), I suspect there'd be singles released for 75% of the album tracks.
