Popsicle - Jan & Dean: Originally on the Drag City album (1964.) It was 1966 and Jan Berry had his horrific car crash. Liberty had planned to release "Norwegian Wood" (a pretty good cover IMHO) with "Popsicle" as the B side. Dean wanted "Popsicle" as the A side, so he goes to the Liberty mail room and asks the clerks to put star decals on the "Popsicle" side of the promo 45s to denote it as the "plug side." It worked and "Popsicle" was a hit in 1966.
