Mike, the reality is if they played to people who knew their chart history, they could perform in a trailer. They know their audience. The people want to hear familiar songs, no matter who did them. At this late date, they could probably do Four Freshmen songs and people would think they were Lettermen hits.

Besides, with one original left, it really wouldn't be the hit-making Lettermen anyway, would it?

It's just the reality of the business. The Chuck Blasko Vogues jam several of their hits into a medley and do full versions of "Signed, Sealed and Delivered" and "Hey Baby." One of the non-originals does the lead on "Signed, Sealed" and gets a big reaction. I'm guessing it's much bigger than the full version of "No Not Much" would get. For every Mike Riccio who cares about authenticity, there are 20 audience members who don't give a hoot.
