Sadly, BOTH you and Mike R. are right - and it's the Mike Riccios/Andrea D. Wieners :-) who try their DARNDEST to at least let people KNOW what the deal is!!
Case in point - when I went to see ORIGINAL Shangri-La member Mary Weiss a couple of weeks ago out at South Street Seaport, there were SO MANY people on line for her autograph that DIDN'T EVEN KNOW that a bogus group EXISTS!! (they know now!) :-)
My point - for the things that I've experienced and learned in attending oldies/revival/rock and roll shows, and for all the opportunities I'VE had over the past 25 years, I feel that I must pass on MY knowledge and MY experience to those who DON'T know - and I do...and people usually have one of two reactions when they hear me - either they thank me or they think i'm a bit looney (you'd be amazed how often I get the SECOND reaction!) But I don't care - for ALL the artists/radio DJs/producers/writers/musicians that have passed away over the years - this is the least that I can do to HONOR their memories and to make sure that their names DO NOT get dishonored...
