A few great examples would be Foreigner's "Waiting for a Girl Like You" which peaked at #2 but stayed there an incredible 10 weeks!. I dare anyone to tell me that a song which was #1 for a week was a bigger hit. Another example is the Village People's "San Francisco" which bubbled under for a year! and never reached the top 100. I challange anyone to tell me that a song which spent a few weeks and peaked mid-chart was a bigger hit!
