CBS-FM is going all the way to 1989 with hits that I am sure you would have found on the AC lists back then. You can't say that there are NO songs from the 90's that would "fit the format". Artists like Genesis, Phil Collins, Elton John, Mariah Carey, Seal, and others that had hits in the 90's would work on an expanded "classic hits" playlist.
