You pretty much nailed everything on this one!
CBS-FM needs to have links to the past, which Bob Shannon is the main link to (and to a lesser extent Dan Taylor), but is also a big reason why myself and many others would LOVE to have Max Kinkel return to 101.1 ASAP becase of that and the phenominal numbers he did when he was there in the '80s and '90s. At the same time, however, CBS-FM needs to have people on the air who were links to later generations, which Bill Lee clearly is (and Bob Shannon gave him major praise in another thread on this board) along with Joe Causi and Pat St. John.
There needs to be a real balance between the older and the newer links, as you have to get the younger listeners, which hopefully Bill, Joe and Pat (along with perhaps others of their ilk down the road) will be able to do. So far, given how little time this was put together as said before Dan Mason and Brian Thomas are doing a phenominal job, something most of us I think realize.
