OK, so it can be done, and they still have advertisers & listeners. Next subject - it a poor implementation to combine a great show idea like that with a dry parched lack of 50's songs throughout the week. B103 on Long Island does that (but even worse with the Sunday show being a trite, blah only-hits 50's show), and it comes as a shock, and is too separated.

With one upbeat 50's song an hour throughout the week an anticipation would be created to that "Street Corner Sunday" or whatever high quality untypical version WCBS would come up with.

This way it can be looked forward to by those who want it (like those in Philly listening to "Street Corner Sunday"), and each weekday song is also a promo op for that show - all smartly interlaced with the newer younger focus that is the majority anyway.
