Yes, fortunately there still are stations outside of the area that play oldies but the major difference is they are not New York City. Although the songs may be the same, it is the personality, local events & chatter that make it feel more like it is " ours ". After it was removed from the air for a couple of years and now for many reasons it has returned it gives it even more of a feeling like it is " ours " including the fact that the station and it's audience interacts so well with each other.
