in 37 years i've been a victom of format changes, in fact my butt has been thrown out in the street over a few of those.
so, what i was saying is that when they pulled the plug on cbs a couple of years ago, it was ANOTHER one, another stupid management decision that i've seen in a 37 year career in broadcasting. radio can be cruel, and it was especially cruel to the fans of great music. i too was a fan of cbs(from afar) i was afraid this Jack format was going to be a terrible trend that would end what i was doing. BUT, thank GOD this is some kind of vindicaton for stations like mine and cbs.
a previous poster mentioned that some people as close as jersey didn't know about cbs comming back, its a big country and there is life outside New York City! so cut ME some slack when i ask why
everyone is hanging on every song, every word on cbs right now. E X C U S E M E E E E E E!!! lol
one thing i can bring from this, New York has to have the most loyal radio listening audience in the world! and i pity the fool who screws with this station again.
