I agree that an hours long show dedicated to the same artist every single weekend will get monotonous within the first show here in NY.

A Norm N Nite "Night Train" show, or Jack Spector "Sock Hop" type show that includes upbeat doo wops along with the other 50's & 60's music would be far better.

WCBS-FM used to feature specific artists or styles during these type shows that lent a nice twist to each week's show.

One show might feature Elvis, and throughout the show play an elvis song with trivia every 15-20 minutes or so. The next week might feature Instrumentals, and do the same with relevant trivia.

If they start listening to their own website's message board that are almost entirely pleas for 50's & early 60's music added to daily playlists plus however many more emailed suggestions that are along these same lines, and Cousin Brucie's comments on Sirius about WCBS-FM - it would lead nicely into that weekend show.

This would be much better than a jarring shift into such a specialty show with all 50's & early 60's after a week of a suffocating complete lack of it. Also, it would not alter their focus, yet distinguish WCBS-FM from the usual LyteFM's or Cue104's typicality.
