So much talk about how wrong it is to play songs that don't fit the target demographic. Gee, what a mistake it would be to add more Dion or Shirelles to the rotation. The programming experts at CBS New York must know more than the rest of us. Remember, they don't want listeners to be reminded of "thier fathers' music". Songs played on CBS for 30 years don't have credibility with the new demo. I guess thats why Kenny Rogers, Alabama and Debbie Boone have been played in the past 24 hours. Great additions that remind me of "my grandmothers' music". So what does grandma do when "You Light Up My Life" is over and "Jump - Van Halen" comes on. I guess she abandons her wheelchair and does a little dance.
