The fact is Bruce knows very little about music programming. His ownership of radio stations with Robert FX Sillerman was a business arrangement.

I'd put my money on Brian Thomas to do what he needs to do to build a station that people will listen to. IMHO, no offense to the 50's buffs, no one in any large measure of attractive demo wants to listen to 50's cuts. And with that thought in mind you won't hear much if any 50's on CBS-FM for a ong time. It will send the wrong message to listeners and sponsors alike.

As for Bruce speaking to CBS-FM... who knows.. who cares! As I have said, after that first "EEEE My Cousins"... then what?

The place sounds great.. better everyday.. and my friends you are hearing some really fine jocks... Dan Taylor is hitting just the right stride in the morning after being way too tached up the last time around. Now he's perfect.

Bob Shannon is nothing short of a genius in what he does... take notes radio students.. he is the Ingram of the new millennium...

Bill Lee has his own style and clever patter... not mine, but he is not annoying... so I can still listen and just ignore that which I don't like while admiring his skill nonetheless.

What can we say about Pat St. John that has not already been said? A gift to all of us.

I really like Rick Stacey and Joe Causi is growing on me.. even if he is Brooklyn's own. :-)

The music gets better by the day... as was said here the production is super. Bottom line the place will do fine without Bruce!

Now getting Harry back to do Saturday mornings in my opinion has no downside risk.. just the extra cost of a board op. Go for it!

Frank
