On a purely surface level, what this shows is that the air staff loves what it's doing and is actually listening to the station, even when they aren't on the air. In other words when they get off the air themselves they become listeners. I don't know how long this will last but considering that CBS FM is the kind of station that's put on and left on, what this does is act as a promotional tool for other days parts. A sorta, if you weren't listening look at what you missed. For those of us who grew up with great personality radio this is an oasis and for the generation they are trying to attract, maybe by combining music they remember with some great personality/fun radio, it just might be the recipe to attract a younger audience while not turning the older audience away. Granted a board like this doesn't attract your average listener, but look at the thread topics on this board. So many are about what is said and not just what music is played. That's very telling to me.
