Mr. G is not there just to give the weather. He's there to do shtick. You may not like what he does but he's not supposed to just read the forecast.
His banter with Harry Harrison worked for a long time. Dan Taylor is a different guy but I don't think the basic give and take has changed much. Not everyone is going to like it... but it was worked over the years. CBS-FM doesn't want just a weather reporter.
