Bob - I am curious about the sequencing and/or picking of the songs we're hearing. First, let me say that you're all doing a remarkable job and that this is in no way a criticism! I have not had to run the Ipod at the backyard pool since CBS-FM is back, and that says it all! It's just terrific!
My question is really about how much you, Pat, Dan, Bill, etc are allowed to insert or change a song within a computerized set. I've sometimes noticed a bunching of 70's tunes, then a bunching of 60's and other times not. And of course, Pat and you drop in a refreshing one like Alley Oop, or the early Bob Seger that Pat played a few days back. For example, if you knew you had Eddie Cochran coming up, could you follow it with the Stray Cats or another example, The Everly Bros. followed by Simon & Garfunkel if you felt the mix would be better? Are you allowed a few free choices per hour or must they come from the set playlist?
Without revealing the secret ingredient of CBS-FM, I'm hoping you can answer my question.
Sincere Best Wishes!
