The daily Hall of Fame features are just a wonderful way to incorporate that New York Brill Building sound you mention! I was very excited this afternoon to hear Broadway Bill spinning "One Fine Day" (even if he introduced it as "He's So Fine"! But we'll give him a pass since he's so darned good! ;-) ) The Hall of Fames are SUCH a smart idea; they keep the music fresh, give the listener something new to look forward to each day, and broaden the playlist in a unique and exciting way. In short, they're just another great thing about the new CBS-FM. So I'm sure more Goffin & King, Sedaka & Greenfield, and Mann & Weil will be on the way. I'm still holding out for some Bacharach & David, too! Considering that Burt occupies a place in my personal 1960s Big Four Bs (along with Beatles, Brian [Wilson] and Bob [Guess who?]!) for defining the sound of a generation, I keep crossing my fingers that "I Say A Little Prayer", "Walk On By" or "What The World Needs Now" will rejoin the playlist.
Anyway, Bravo! to the Hall of Fame!
