Then how about some consistency? I do enjoy Pat & Bob playing different versions but they make it clear what they are playing. You want them to play long versions of some songs and edited versions of others? I spent 2 years listening to WDRC-FM in Hartford ( and still do ) when Jack came along. They are a 60s & 70s greatest hits station and they play the original hit versions. Why should CBS-FM be any different since they insist on calling their music " the greatest hits..." ?
Nor am I losing the forest through the trees. It's called accuracy and truth in advertising. If you promote yourself as a greatest hits station, play the hits. The long version of Light My Fire sounds way out of place on CBS-FM. I will take your advice and forget the " hits " word because not only will it make me feel better but also make it easier to listen when that word is used indiscriminately.
