"Rapture" by Blondie is in a different class. It is mostly melodic even during its rap-style break eating guitars. It is a pop song that would definitely fit like "Heart of Glass" would fit (and was played on the "old" WCBS-FM as future gold).
Songs like Rapper's Delight with goofily talked lyrics to mostly unmelodic beats doesn't seem to me to be a good fit, and as annoying as the song is, I didn't change the station when the "new" WCBS-FM played it (no matter what our opinions are).
