I want to remind people that Bob Shannon runs his own message board called the "Behind The Hits Message Board". It is populated by a lot of people who really know hit music from the fifties on through today. I encourage those who want to discuss music to click over to Bob's board (linked below).
This Board is dedicated to CBS-FM's programming. Clearly that includes the music... what to play, what not to play and also can include lists of what has been played. I'm certainly not suggesting we should have no music posts here. But... once we get out of the discussion of how the music relates to CBS-FM's programming and move into discussion of the music in and of itself, that's when Bob's board is a better alternative.
From my point of view, I don't want to manage an oldies music board. I'm very glad Bob handles that. He's better at it than I am. My interests for this Board is directed more at radio programming. In effect, this is a specialized NYRMB for discussion about a single station.
