I agree with Allan.
One of my best pals runs a CHR in a medium market (big college town) and he says taste in rap (at least in his town) is like a knife. (They do all kinds of research).
Under 20, loves it (depending on the song).
20-23 year olds, so-so (depending on the song).
24 plus HATES rap (NOT depending on the song!).
It's too polarizing.
Of course that is a generality, and not based on New York City research. Okay.
Just saying.....
