>>>I AM very open-minded of the station changes and format.<<<

With all due respect Mike, I don't think so in this case.

>>> The way the show was promoted and marketed, and the expectations given (as evidenced by the listener response here and elsewhere) led listeners to believe something else was coming.<<<

Specifically, how was it "promoted and marketed" to give the expectations you had? Your reaction, and the others who have been complaining, is not based on a single thing the station said. It's based on what *you* were expecting... based on? I heard all the same promos you did. What I took away from it was they were going to do something... but it wasn't at all clear what.

>>>So if CBS-FM wants to do a show like last night's, call it a "Sunday Night Tribute"<<<

But why box themselves in to doing just tribute shows? I have no idea what is planned in the future (really... I don't). But, if it were me, I'd be trying to do some tribute shows, some live shows and possibly other shows related to radio that are neither of the first two possibilities. This is a weekly program. There are lots of different things that can be done. It's inevitable that you'll like some better than others. But at least be open to the possibilities.
