People keep saying things like this and I continue to disagree.

CBS-FM needs to get itself set up and branded on the main channel without "another" CBS-FM on HD-2, or HD-3. Once that happens (like in a year) then maybe you consider it.

While it may seem easy to simply "just bring the station back", I don't think it is. This whole "Radio Greats" discussion is an example of the downside. There are a lot of preconceived ideas about what the station is... many of them good (which justifies doing it). But... there are also some negatives. The biggest is the issue of how much fifties, sixties, seventies and eighties music to play. The music era of the station must get well established and that's tough. Between those who want more fifties and those who want less eighties, there has to be a period of re-alignment that takes place. For sure, if I'm management, I want that to happen before I complicate things by having an HD station that harkens back to the former positioning.
