>>>C'mon. That is NOT saying that this show that will feature nothing but former CBS-FM DJ's! You're reading into it.<<<

I don't disagree with your point that CBS-FM never explicitly told us what the show was about.

That said, given the website and promotions, I think you would have had to read into the promotions and website far more to expect a show dubbing in a former aircheck of Wolfman Jack, as opposed to one with a live DJ.

"Direct implication" may not have been the best wording, but when the FAQ said, "Some of the people who are available will be featured on Sundays with a show we’ve dubbed “NY Radio Greats” that will air Sundays from 7:00 – 10:00pm." it makes it sound as though there will be a live DJ.

To explain this further, the reason it makes it sound like there would be a live DJ is because the question on the FAQ asks about former DJs in the sense of whether they'll be on air. Indeed, the FAQ talks about them in the PRESENT tense: "Not everyone from the past *is* available. Some of our former personalities *are* under contract to other radio companies, some *are* retired and sadly not everyone *is* in good health to work a full time schedule." If someone is under contract to another radio company, it implies that is a reason they cannot be present on WCBS-FM, live, today.

Additionally, when it said "Some of the people who *are* available will be featured..." again, it invokes the present tense, implying that some of these DJ's would be on, live. I think this is a plain reading of the text, I'm not reading something wild into what CBS-FM told us.

That said, I am willing to wait and see what happens, because they may very well have former DJ's live in the future. Indeed, I think that is a very real possibility. However, as what I wrote above shows, the little information we did have about the program lead to the belief that it would be someone live. I didn't just make up the expectation, I based it on what I read on WCBSFM.com.
