Yes, but the problem was that you went to QuickChek and assumed that QuickChek was a homemade ice cream store. Was CBS FM a bit misleading? Maybe, but at the same time, people ran with their expectations without considering the logistics and, thus never contemplating that they could be wrong. Besides, some store bought food is better than some homemade. Let's not get hung up on how authentic something needs to be, and focus on whether there is substance to what we are hearing.
