it seems that a few of you are noticing a trend.
when they start being known as the THIS, station or THAT station and become "predictable" they've got a problem. its all about "variety"... in this format there's nothing wrong with a train wreck-it might be suicide in another format- but its what Top-40 was in the day- Sinatra was mentioned in a previous post so i'll use it as an example, Sinatra was on the top-40 charts with Strangers In The Night at the same time as the Kinks, The Stones the Beatles and Roger Miller's King Of The Road- and they were all played on the SAME station- who says you can't do it today on a Greatest Hits Station? they're ALL Greatest Hits!
if you're gonna BE it, DO IT!
i don't think you can apply the rules used by an all Country station-lite rock-rhymic-top 40 and play one kind of music when you call yourself a Greatest Hits Station- c'mon lets hear em ALL!
