One could use that criteria because he's been dead for 12 years. I'm not saying that Wolfman Jack sounded better than Randy Davis. I did not listen enough of either of these shows to make a definitive comparison. Randy Davis is a great DJ, but he is not one of the "Greats," such as Ingram, Harrison, Morrow, etc. But c'mom, of course Wolfman has a better shot of sounding better. All it takes is a good engineer or a talented Radio Production guy to do some creative editing. When you're doing a tribute to a voicetracked DJ dead or alive (to put it fairly), all you have to do is round up a "Best of Wolfman Jack" collection of airchecks. And there is your 3-hour show.
