I must agree with Allan. Nothing personal but Randy Davis is a good Disc Jockey but not a Radio Great. I was not going to comment on this for fear that I would make a lot of enemies on this board. But after I saw Allan's comments I figured the road has been paved.
It seems that this was an easy solution to having a live person doing the show. But let's face it, compared to Dan, Bruce, Harry etal, Randy Davis is no New York radio "household word". Again I say that the issue would not have been so magnified if Wolfman Jack had been held until a few weeks into this feature, instead of the premier week which was heavily judged.
Randy Davis is much better suited for a regular or fill in spot on this station. I also think that the Radio Greats feature should also contain some of the older music which would better suit the theme.
