My opinion of Magic 98.3 has changed over time. About ten years ago, they were a decent station playing a good mix of music. The personalities were good, and Magic also had some nice specialty shows. I remember "Saturday Night Magic Memories," an oldies request show which was actually quite enjoyable.
As time passed and Magic evolved, everything about the station got less and less enjoyable. The jingles were annoying, and the personalities changed (Ms. Drescher's vocal twin(s) must work weekends at Magic). Specialty shows evolved (the oldies show is now an '80's program) and themed weekends disappeared. It hasn't gotten better and probably won't. Burned out "Continuous Soft Rock" has seemed to drive listeners away (as their ratings have been nowhere near stellar). I'm sure some listeners have migrated back to CBS-FM, but just about any station is better than Magic. Their playlist is REALLY stale.
