Mike, believe it or not, I do like quite a few songs from the 50's and early 60's. I like most of the big hits by The Coasters, I like a few songs by Frankie Lyman and The Teenagers, and many others. "Mack The Knife" by Bobby Darin was the number one song when I was born, and I like that one as well as "Beyond The Sea".
What I was trying to say is, while I (and other "younger people") may like some tunes from that era, I wouldn't vote for them since my (and others in my age group) musical memories are mainly from the 70's and 80's. And as less and less people who grew up in the 50's and early 60's are around, I would think that less and less people would vote for music from that era.
