Mike, you seem to have appointed yourself the final voiice for musical taste. There were plenty of great top 40 hits in the 80's, the songs of that era may not evoke any memories for you but they do for others. Of course, this is not only about memories, it's about music that sounds good right now. I rather hear "With or Without You" by U2 than "Earth Angel" or "In The Still of The Night", and so would a lot of other people..
