Joe, no way would I ever consider myself "the final voice" for musical taste. I'm just stating that through my experience the "older" oldies have greater memory value. Of course there were classics from the more recent decades and your choices over "Earth Angel" and "In the Still Of the Night" are probably common among younger folks. But I have noticed even in my days that I did mobile dj work in the 80's and 90's that I was going out and buying music that was current at the time and then retiring it to the rack because it just wasn't asked for anymore whereas "Earth Angel", etc. were. Sure, I'm not going to lie, I love 50's and 60's more than any other era. But no, I certainly don't have the final word.
