The "In the Still Of the Night" that was done by the Five Satins is an entirely different song than the Cole Porter standard you are talking about. The Five Satins' song was written by their lead singer, Fred Parris. (But there was a doo-wopp version of the Cole Porter song - done by Dion & the Belmonts.)
