There are very few songs on today's charts with staying power. There are few songs that have been on the charts in the last 15 years that have staying power. There are many songs from the 50's and 60's that still have staying power today, but are purposely surpressed by today's PD's because of demos.

Whatever 50's music that it has played (very little) has been the most popular uptempo songs, no ballads (not only out of the 50's but all decades). Maybe they will include "In the Still Of the Night" and maybe they won't. But you have to believe that this countdown will be far from an honest count. They are not going to waste their time tabulating all of the votes.
