Since the 77 SNO show is a Nostalgia-drive Talk Show, and 101 is Classic Hits Music, there really is no competition between the two. One would have to compromise the format of one to compete with the other.
With SNO, music is played as just an example of the Nostalgia focus of the Talk. Other topics of discussion (TV, food, movies, games, places, etc) are concetrated on as well. On 101, talking about the Music isn't really an option, other than whatever the DJ uses to sell the song. Any other Talk is usually an advertisement or promo.
