Bob, You and all the gang at CBS-FM have brought the fun back to radio for me again. This is the industry I worked in for a few years and met talented, creative, funny people who loved what they did. So much of the scripted, voicetracked product that is promulgated as "successful" in radio is more or less stale filler in between the songs, hence the station sounds stale. Yes I love music, but I love intelligent personalities, people who make us laugh, people who inform us and make us think, people who ENTERTAIN us and capture our attention. People that make me sit in the car 30 minutes after I get home because it's just too good to turn off. Interactive, not passive entertainment.
That's what your group of talented professionals is doing. You folks in NY are cream of the crop, you make it sound easy. It is my fervent hope that what you have done catches on across the country, so that maybe some of that cream will start to rise from places such as here in market #269. I hope to again get the opportunity to hear the next Bob Shannon get his/her start and hone their skills in this environment.
