Request a Message Board Password
In the world of the Internet there are times when restricted posting is necessary. In an effort to keep the NY Radio Message Board as focused as possible, there is a password system that is sometimes in use. This is not intended to keep appropriate posters off the Board nor about denying "free speech". It's about keeping malicious posters and irrelevant posts off the Board. This system is not always in use but when it is, you need a user name and password combination to post.
None of this is required to READ messages on the Message Board. However, at times, you need to supply a registered user name and password combination to POST to the Board.
The username you supply here is does not have to be the name you post by. It is not necessary to use your real name but you must at least supply a nickname and a password. Your e mail address will not be automatically posted nor distributed to anyone. There are broadcast professionals who prefer to remain anonymous and this Board is sensitive to that.
Once you submit this form I will e mail you to confirm your request. If your e mail address is not valid, your request for a password will be denied.
Obviously, misuse of the Board will result in access to posting being denied to those responsible.
I almost always deny access to people who use free web based
email services like Yahoo, Hotmail, Mail.com etc.
This is to prevent malicious users from sneaking in pseudonymously.
Please use your real ISP-based email address to apply.
I promise it will stay private - it's not used for any purpose on the board except
to validate your membership.
