NOTE: WMCA’s in-house printed survey was dated Sept. 17-20; however, the
chart debuted on the air on Wednesday, Sept. 16, so the date that appears
above reflects when it actually took effect.

This was the last WMCA survey. On Monday, Sept. 21, 1970, the station
switched to an all-talk format, ending a chapter in the history of music
radio in New York.
