Funny(actually the circumstances are NOT so I use this term loosley)you should mention New Orleans. A friend of mine from Louisiana has told me that all the major stations owned by Entercom and Clear Channel and other companies are either providing their own coverage or using national news from CNN or ABC CBS or other services. He said there is no music to speak of.
WWL AM is reportedly using both their own and national coverage. For TV NBC 6 owned by HEarst is using NBC coverage; 4 WWL the CBS affiliate is using both their own and CBS coverage; Fox 8 WVUE owned by Emmis is using Fox News Channel. ABC 26 WGNO owned by Tribune is using of course ABC coverage blended in with local news. UPN 54 WUPL is also using CBS Coverage but constant coverage and no local coverage. UPN is reportedly providing CBS News. WB 38 WNOL also a Tribune Station is using ABC and CNN Coverage. Pax 49 WCCL is using constant NBC coverage. The mostly religious station WHNO is using CBS coverage as well being they air CBS News This Morning normally. They are mostly maintaining their "God Squad Programs" however.
