Richard states he got the Allison Steele story from Scott Muni, but doesn't say he ever spoke to Carol directly. Might there be some possible lingering ill-will on Richard's part from the day he and Mark McEwen were canned from the WNEW morning show? That very evening, Carol was on, she started a song, and then after a few seconds, her mic inexplicably came back on, and you could clearly hear her side of a conversation with someone regarding her opinion of the Neer/McEwen morning show. Two direct quotes I remember from Carol were "I didn't listen to it" and "boring". I was just about to call the station and alert *somebody* to the open mic when it just as inexpicably turned off. It wasn't a rude "bad mouthing", but the opinion was clear.
